Featured Event: ‘Black Furrday’ at the Humane Society of Broward County

Friday, November 29th - Saturday, November 30th, 11 a.m. daily: Annual “Black Furrday” adoption event at Humane Society of Broward County, 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, 33312

Get ready for 1/2 price adoptions for cats and dogs 1 year or older; and ‘Cuddle Busters’ Friday & Saturday, when adoption fees will be waived for select pets.

The shelter’s vaccine clinic will also be open for the event for pets that have homes so they can get a free microchip when a vaccine or flea/tick preventative is purchased. This offer is valid on Friday, November 29th & Saturday, November 30th only and appointments are not necessary. The vaccine clinic hours are: 8:30 a.m. – 11:40 a.m. & 1:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, December 7th, 7:00 p.m.: The City of Hollywood’s Annual Candy Cane Parade, on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk, 101 S. Broadwalk, Hollywood, 33019.

Join Cox Media Group for the 67th annual Hollywood Beach Candy Cane Parade, featuring dozens of lighted floats and vehicles along the parade route entertaining the thousands of spectators who line the Broadwalk.

The parade begins on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk at Missouri Street and heads south to Harrison Street. Parade emcee will be stationed at the Hollywood Beach Theatre at Johnson Street.
