RECALL: Car Seats

recall

Recent car seat recalls include Evenflo Revolve360 Slim seats (choking hazard from headrest foam), certain Safety 1st Grow & Go Sprint models (foam issue), and some Nuna RAVA seats (harness button issue). To check your seat, find the manufacturer, model, and date of manufacture on the label and search the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) website or contact the manufacturer directly for free repair kits.

Recent Recalls to Check

  • Evenflo Gold Revolve360 Slim & Revolve360 Slim: Manufacturing dates Dec 1, 2022 - Dec 8, 2024 (Model #3681). Children can access and ingest foam from the headrest, posing a choking risk.
  • Dorel Juvenile (Safety 1st): Various models of the Grow & Go Sprint all-in-one seat (e.g., CC321). Foam in the headrest wasn’t secure, creating a choking hazard.
  • Nuna RAVA: Convertible seats with a plastic harness adjuster button, made between July 16, 2016, and Oct 25, 2023.

How to Check Your Car Seat

  1. Locate the Label: Find the white manufacturer’s label, usually on the side or base of the seat, for the model name, number, and date of manufacture.
  2. Visit NHTSA: Go to NHTSA.gov/Recalls and use the “Car Seats” tab to search by brand and model.
  3. Contact Manufacturer: Check the manufacturer’s website (e.g., Evenflo, Dorel, Nuna) for specific recall information and to request a free repair kit.

What to Do if Your Seat is Recalled

  • Do not stop using it immediately: if it’s safe (foam is intact/out of reach), but monitor closely.
  • Request the free repair kit: from the manufacturer for a permanent fix.
