This is a pretty serious recall for over 295,000 Honda and Acura vehicles.
Vehicles Recalled• Acura MDX Type-S SUVs manufactured between April 23, 2021, and Dec. 11, 2024.• Acura TLX Type-S sedans manufactured between Dec. 9, 2020, and Nov. 25, 2024.• Honda Pilot SUVs manufactured between Sept. 13, 2022, and Jan. 9, 2025.
The problem: Faulty software programming of the fuel injection electronic control unit (FI-ECU) can cause the engine to lose power or stall while the vehicle is in motion.
The fix: Dealerships will update the FI-ECU software, free of charge. Owners who already paid for a related repair may be eligible for reimbursement from Acura or Honda.
